Ditching the cover up and just taking care of my skin.

Taking care of your skin is the most important step. You can cover it with all the make up you have and it's still not as nice as beautiful skin. Drake said it best "...hair tied with no make up on, that's when you're the prettiest..."

I know you are wondering, how does one get to a place where they walk out the front door confidently loving their skin with no make up, to be honest I started with hats and sunglasses, I'm not kidding, I'm dead serious. I would have spots that I hated. Then I began to take better care of my skin, and my confidence level shifted. Have you ever walked in Sephora and they ask you how many products you have on your skin? Well, ask them; trust me its like 23 and half of those are their skincare products just prepping the face before the make up is applied.

So a few years ago my skin was okay, but as I was approaching the end of my 20's, not properly removing my make up, moisturizing, hydrating my skin, exfoliating, gosh exfoliating alone will have you in trouble. So let's just say my nightly routine and my morning routines became very important. I started to apply less make up and really appreciate my natural glow. As I began on my skin care journey, I learned it is definitely a ride. No I do not use the same product every single day. I have some products I use monthly as my skin just needs that sometimes. Some products I only use 2x a week. The thing I learned was incorporating; serums, quality moisturizes that hydrated the skin, oils, toners, masks, the list goes on, but I'm now a skin care junkie. What was helpful for me was the #Fabfitfun boxes. I requested that my boxes be specific to #skincare. Ever quarter I am sent new products to try and I love it. In between those quarters I still try out other brands.

One suggestion I would make is to learn your skin. Is it oily, does it need more exfoliating, do you need peels or facials? Is your skin sensitive? Just like every other aspect of your body, your face, your beautiful money maker, matters so take your time, try products, and do the research.
